NYO Inspire: Side by Side

Join the National Youth Orchestra on the Saffron Hall stage!

Play with NYO musicians on stage!

Friday 4 August, 4-5.30pm

This summer the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain will be performing at Saffron Hall, and we'd love to meet YOU!

If you are a teenage musician and enjoy making music, then why not join us to take part in a special side-by-side rehearsal playing orchestra repertoire alongside NYO musicians and NYO associates ahead of NYO's concert at Saffron Hall. There will be a sharing for friends and family towards the end of the rehearsal to show what you have learned and achieved throughout the session.

This activity is FREE and open to musicians aged 11-18 (KS3 or above) playing at Grade 5 and above, but you don't need to have taken any exams.

Then stay to watch the evening concert for free!

NYO will be performing a public concert directly after the side by side afternoon and you're invited! Tickets for this event are FREE for Under 25s and can be booked online now.

The concert programme includes Symphonic Metamorphosis on Theme of Carl Maria Von Weber by Hindemith, Four Last Songs by Richard Strauss and Aaron Copland's Symphony No.3 and will be an amazing chance to see the musicians you've just been playing with bring music to life in concert. We'd love to fill the hall with teenage energy!
